A Pet Lover's Sitting Service
Terms of ServiceUpon entering into an agreement for sitting services, the following terms will be in force. The
Client hereto agrees to the following: 1.
Wherever
possible, the client
agrees to contact A Pet Lovers Sitting Service 3 days prior to start
date of required services or departure to confirm travel plans and to
verify the dates of service unless other arrangements have been made in
advance. 2.
The client
agrees to notify A Pet Lovers Sitting Service in the event the client is delayed
in returning home. The client further agrees to pay A
Pet Lovers Sitting Service for any additional visits required
until the client returns home. 3.
The client
authorizes A Pet Lovers Sitting Service to enter the client’s
home to provide the services listed herein, and/or written on any invoice,
or as requested by the client in any telephone conversation,
email, or fax transmission. Said services to be performed in accord with the
client’s most recent Pet Profile, the client
Profile, Home Profile, and/or other documents or notes, paper or
electronic, on file with A
Pet Lovers Sitting Service. 4.
If the pet(s) become ill while under the care of A
Pet Lovers Sitting Service,
and medical care is needed in the best judgment of A Pet
Lovers Sitting Service, the
client authorizes A
Pet Lovers Sitting Service to transport the pet(s) to the
client’s veterinarian (or one who is available). The
client authorizes A Pet Lovers Sitting Service to
approve any emergency treatment recommended by said veterinarian when the
cost of treatment is within the limits authorized in a Veterinarian
Release Form. A
Pet Lovers Sitting Service agrees
to make every effort to contact the client prior to
obtaining emergency veterinary care. The
client authorizes A
Pet Lovers Sitting Service to take the
client's
pet(s) to an Emergency Clinic for Animals when the
client’s
veterinarian is not immediately available. The
client further agrees to promptly reimburse A
Pet Lovers Sitting Service for any expenses incurred for any medical
treatment or emergency care. 5.
The client
releases A
Pet Lovers Sitting Service
from all liability related to transportation, treatment, or
expenses, resulting from any emergency or special needs as determined by A Pet
Lovers Sitting Service. 6.
A
Pet Lovers Sitting Service
agrees to provide the services stated herein in a reliable and trustworthy
manner. In consideration of these services, and as an express condition
thereof, the client expressly waives and relinquishes any
and all claims against A
Pet Lovers Sitting Service including for injury to or death of a
pet, unless arising from deliberate negligence on
the part of A Pet Lovers Sitting Service or their authorized representative(s). 7.
The client
agrees to pay A Pet Lovers Sitting Service the total fee for services to be rendered upon signing
this agreement or before services begin for a booking. There
will be a $30 fee for returned checks. A
72-hour advance notice is required for cancellations in order to receive a
full refund credit, less a $15 cancellation fee. Fees for holiday bookings
are non-refundable. 8.
A
Pet Lovers Sitting Service is not liable for injury to, or
loss of, any pets allowed, at the direction of the
client, access to a dog door, or allowed outside the
client’s house off lead or unattended. 9.
The client
agrees to reimburse A Pet Lovers Sitting Service for the cost of materials necessary
for satisfactory performance of duties; and/or for any emergency
expenses incurred resulting there from. 10.
The client
agrees to pay, at the then current hourly rate, currently $15, for trips to
purchase necessary pet supplies, food, and/or to handle emergencies. 11.
In the event of
incompatibility, personal emergency, illness, injury, or unavailability on
the part of A
Pet Lovers Sitting Service, the client authorizes A
Pet Lovers Sitting Service to arrange for another qualified
individual to fulfill the responsibilities set forth in this agreement,
or, to arrange for alternative care of the client’s
pet(s). The client further agrees to promptly reimburse A
Pet Lovers Sitting Service for additional costs incurred, if any,
due to providing alternative care of the client’s pet(s). 12.
The client
agrees to pay A Pet Lovers Sitting Service the regular single per visit rate
for any additional, necessary or unnecessary, visits made due to the
client not notifying A
Pet Lovers Sitting Service upon their return home. 13.
This agreement is in force
with the very first service visit and shall be extended or renewed upon
the clients request to provide services in the future as outlined in
article 16 below. 14.
The term of this agreement
shall commence on this date and terminate in 36 months. Upon the client's request to
provide services in the future via phone, email, or in person, the
client agrees that this agreement shall be extended, in its
entirety, without further written authorization.
The term of said extension shall commence on the date services are
requested and shall terminate 36 months after the last date on which
services are performed. The
client fully understands the
contents of these terms of service and agrees to the terms and conditions
herein. The client further agrees to pay any additional
charges due when the services have been completed. In the event any single
part of this agreement shall be determined to be invalid it shall have no
bearing on any other part of the agreement. Any exceptions
to any part of this agreement must be in writing and signed by all
